Biography

I started my acting career in 1991 when I did a 1 act play at Duke University titled The Red Coat by John Patrick Shanley.  It was an amazing, creative experience that challenged me to think about acting as a realistic and possible profession.   After apprenticing at Williamstown Theatre Festival in the summer of 1991 I made the decision to go to graduate school to actually learn how to act.  In 1995 I received my MFA degree in Acting from North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  While in school I performed as an Equity member at Playmakers Repertory Company and loved the pressure and responsibility of being on stage 8 times a week.  So In 1995 I moved to New York with dreams of Broadway.  Not so fast!    A CBS talent scout spotted me my first week in New York performing a 1 Man show titled Realities and everything shifted.

This scout introduced to me soap operas and within three months I was recurring in a heavy storyline with Ashley Williams and Jordanna Brewster on  “As the World Turns” as the town bad guy.  After repeatedly being on trial for “allegedly” doing bad things (nothing was ever proven and I always got out of jail) – I signed with Stone Manners Talent Agency in Los Angeles.

Broadway was not in the cards and I moved to LA and acted in television for the next 9 years.  In 2005 I returned to Florida to write and produce my baby – a film titled The Way Back Home starring legendary stage actresses Julie Harris and Ruby Dee  which to date airs regularly on The Trinity Broadcasting Network and has sold over 40,000 DVD’s and counting.   Working closely with Julie and Ruby might be the closest I ever get to the Great White Way – but I can continue to dream!
